## Migration Summary

**Status: ✅ SUCCESSFUL MIGRATION**

This document summarizes the successful migration from a custom JSON-RPC MCP server implementation to the official **Anthropic FastMCP framework**, following MCP best practices from [modelcontextprotocol.io](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/quickstart/server).

### 🏗️ **New FastMCP Server (`basecamp_fastmcp.py`)**
- **Framework**: Official Anthropic MCP SDK (`mcp[cli]>=1.2.0`)
- **Architecture**: AsyncIO-based with `anyio.to_thread` for sync→async bridge
- **Protocol**: Full MCP 2024-11-05 compliance
- **Transport**: STDIO (required for Cursor/Claude Desktop)
- **Logging**: Best practices (stderr + file, never stdout)
